Inspired by music from the ’80s using instruments from the ’70s and ’80s (Moog, Juno 60, TI …) and guitar sounds.
Our music has been influenced by a wide variety of styles, ranging from New Wave to Metal.
Bands like Boytronic, Anne Clark, Simple Minds, and The Cult have been part of our musical culture, and we are discovering great sounds every day !

Catch a Glimpse was founded in 2019 by Alexander & Jacques Valkenberg in Paris.
Jacques is in engineering school at ENSTA Paris and has been very active in composing music for many years. He has performed in live concerts as a lead guitarist of various bands. His musical interests are very wide and range from synthwave to metal core … At Catch a Glimpse, he composes music, plays piano, synthe, rhythm & lead guitar, and bass …
Alexander has a Masters’s degree in theoretical astrophysics and a Masters’s degree in Business Administration. He has been an astrophysicist at NASA, an investment banker, and CEO of various companies. He’s a kid from the ’80s, loves New Wave and harder sounds, and has been passionate about music his entire life. At Catch a Glimpse, he composes music & texts, plays synthe, rhythm guitar, and vocals …
